In in-depth evaluations of 11 Android antivirus apps carried about by Austrian lab AV-Comparatives in July 2019, Avast Mobile Security scored 99.9% detection of real-time malware, the same as Bitdefender, Kaspersky and McAfee. Qihoo 360 performed a bit below average, and Lookout performed especially poorly. The other two apps I reviewed in 2019, Lookout Mobile Security and Qihoo 360 Security Antivirus, last submitted samples to AV-TEST for evaluation in 2016.
